"My son is almost thirteen years old and takes 3 capsules a day. I am getting ready to increase the dosage in the next week or so. Michael did not talk at all until he was almost eight. Since starting this supplement six months ago, his speech has increased dramatically. Last weekend my extended family visited from Illinois. "My daughter has been on Speak for a few months now. We are up to the full dose on Speak and I want to share how much progress my daughter has made. I mean it's pretty remarkable. I know the more positive feedback you guys have the better so I wanted to share.

I have a 3 year old daughter and after a year and a half with slow and little progress, we were feeling hopeless, discouraged and defeated. We had read about the benefits of fish oils and vitamin e started using Speak in hopes of giving our daughter more supplementation with the ease of using 1 pill vs. 5 or 6 pills. Within 2 days, we started to see progress. As we proceeded with the Speak, we noticed huge improvements in her skill set, but also her health.

She has always had an unsteady gait, weakness in her fingers and an open mouth posture. She would also get very frustrated and would start crying when she couldn't perform certain tasks (specifically fine motor tasks). Over the course of a few months we saw our daughter's gait normalize, her strength in her fingers increase and she can close her mouth, moves her tongue around and is making so many new sounds.

Each time we increased her amount, everyone commented about how quickly she is improving. One of her teachers even said: "Wow. She is making quick progress. I didn't expect her to progress this quickly. A few months ago, I wouldn't have guessed she'd be here already." Her frustration level is also decreasing. She is no longer crying and giving up on things that are hard, but rather she is incredibly persistent and tackles most tasks with intensity and focus that we have not seen before. Every day we feel like she is doing something new!

"My 28-month-old son began taking Speak a few months ago. We started out slowly and gradually increased his intake to 4 capsules per day. I was amazed at how well he tolerated the liquid in his foods, as he can be picky and very sensitive to textures and new tastes.

We went through a short period where his temperament was a bit tough, but believe me when I say "persevere!" It's worth it! Within 2 weeks of starting the supplement we had heard 3-4 new consonant sounds and more vowel sounds. He was trying much harder to mimic sounds he heard around him and seemed to be gaining the confidence to try more words. His comprehension is at a normal level, if not above, so he seems to know when he's not making the correct sounds, and it frustrates him. In the past this has limited his desire to try the sounds, and he's stuck to signing instead. He's really coming out of his shell now!

"I have been on the search for the right kind of supplement for Evan when I ran across your site and was so excited to see that you had the exact amounts that had been recommended in everything I read. I did start him on it about a month and a half ago. Within a couple of days on this Evan said 2 new words (No and Off). Evan also began to show some huge progress with all of his sounds. "The main differences are that she is trying and willing to put three words together on her own with no prompting (blackie is up, blackie is asleep). Blackie is her stuffed dog.

"My son has always had difficulties with textures/tastes; however, he actually will "ask" for Speak if I happen to forget it.

The best way to get him to take it is to poke a hole in the capsule, squeeze out the liquid in 2 oz. of organic apple juice-same color as Speak :) and as a "reward", he gets 4 more ounces of apple juice immediately after. It also helps to give it to him mid meal so he can continue eating whatever he was eating to help get rid of any residual taste. Also, 100% grape juice hides any "different" tastes that may be unpleasant to little ones.

We just added another capsule per day, but it took us a long time to increase the amount due to a lot of GI issues that my son already has. We have seen significant benefits in his speech including increase in vocalizations, babbling and ability to imitate speech sounds more readily. We have been on other fish oil supplements in the past and there is no comparison to the differences that we see w/ Speak. "This supplement has been very helpful. When I first heard about success other children were having with speak, I wanted it to believe it but my husband, as a physician, was very skeptical about the supplement.

I had started the supplement, but due to loose stools, and the fact that my child is going to daycare, I decided to stop giving the supplement. At drop-off time, he had anxiety that had disappeared during the time he was taking speak. The daily notes from school indicated that during the day he was "quiet" or "tired." So, I was determined to start him again on speak again and beg for the daycare to help me during this transition. I told them in advance that they might see some loose stools, and they should not consider this to be sickness.

It has been couple of weeks and my son now waves good bye to me every morning. Yesterday, I received one of the daily reports, and they said that they understand him more and more every day. "I wanted to write and tell you of the progress we have seen with my son, Jotham, since starting on Speak. Jotham is 2 years and 8 months. Before we started Speak we had him on fish oil but in a smaller amount. Jotham has now been taking Speak for 2 full months. In the past month I have had numerous comments about how he has improved from his teacher at school and others at school and in our family that know him so well.

He is communicating with others better, and Jotham put a puzzle together all by himself with no help and when he was done he looked up and said, “I did it!.” His teacher said she and the other children were all so excited for him.
